• Extended technical support on R&D activities to Solar Energy System for conducting:
• Technology import, research, development and feasibility study on manufacturing of selectively coated copper fins/sheet/ absorber panels, and collectors for solar water heaters, dryers and solar distillation
• Research, development and originate successful manufacturing of anti-corrosive food grade stainless steel hot water storage tanks for solar water heaters, in commercial scale for the first time in Nepal – achieved only after one year continue study and test manufacture of stainless steel tank with lifetime corrosion free guaranteed TIG SS welding.
• Extended technical support for ongoing R&D activities to Solar Energy System for conducting:
• Research, design and development of Anti freeze solar water heaters for meeting water and room heating requirement in high altitude (freezing prone) areas.
• Trial installation and performance evaluation of PEX-AL-PEX pipes in freezing areas. These pipes can work in temperature range of –400 C to 900 C and are expected to replace conventional GI pipes offering extra-long life, temperature resistance and low air freight due to very low weight.
• Feasibility study on using solar thermal products in soap industries for melting PFAD (Palm fatty acid) – a trial project is in research and design stage jointly with Nepal Lever Limited, Hetauda.
• Feasibility study of using solar air heater for making yogurt in dairy business – a project is in research and design stage jointly with Diary in Hetauda.
